slow going


I am now 3 1/2 weeks into my quest, and guess how many pounds I have lost? Exactly one. And guess how much body fat I have lost? I've gained one percent. For all the hard work I've been doing, the results leave much to be desired.

Now, this might make some people want to quit, but for me it just motivates me to work even harder. Instead of doing 45-50 min of cardio, I will be doing at least an hour. I will be sure to do at least a bit of strength training every time I go, instead of doing cardio only some days. I've been learning a lot from my trainer, Wally, and by now there are no days where I'm left wondering what I can do. Two weeks in St. Louis was tough, but this week has been good for me, as I saw Wally twice and my entire body is sore... I could barely straighten out my arms on Friday! I am continuing to eat well too, I feel like I've GOT to see results soon. Basically I need to build up my muscle before I can get a really good burn, it might take a few more weeks to see any real results.

The good news is that I FEEL really good, healthy and strong, and not bloated or sluggish. It's a really nice feeling! Still though, its been slow going... I've got to channel my patience now.
